Wednesday Evening Lenten Services

During the Wednesdays in Lent, various pastors and lay speakers in the area will be participating in an exchange. They will be coming to our churches to preach from the Gospel of Mark, chapters 11 and 12. These are Jesus’ teachings that took place between Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday. Here’s the schedule for Oakfield and Tabor:

  • February 25th at Oakfield UMC – Rev. Hong-Lim Park, joins us from Mayville UMC
  • March 4th at Tabor UMC - Karyn Michels, joins us from Salem: Eldorado UMC
  • March 11th at Oakfield UMC – Denise Shaffer, certified lay servant from Oakfield
  • March 18th at Tabor UMC - Rev. Kerry Wilson, pastor at Trinity UMC: Lomira
  • March 25th at Oakfield UMC – Pastor Jim Droste

This is a wonderful opportunity to witness other worship styles, to witness other preaching styles, and to get to know those who serves the churches that surround us.

Sunday Services During the Lenten Season

Give Up - Take Up - Lift Up - Look UP

The Wisconsin Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church has pledged to raise $1 million for Imagine No Malaria by June 2015. Sundays during the Lenten season will explore our own priorities when it comes to helping others, with some thought on how we might be able to participate in this Annual Conference-wide and worldwide fundraising effort for Imagine No Malaria.
